Goodbye Unity

Hello everyone,

At this point, all my games are unavailable because they were made with the Unity engine, and I no longer agree with its terms and conditions. More importantly, I can't align with Unity's philosophy and their apparent lack of empathy towards the community, developers, and ultimately, you, the gamers. They seem to prioritize money over art and innovation.

Unity changed the rules in the middle of the game, and that's neither fair nor honest. Perhaps I'll redo all my games in Godot once I find the time to learn the new tool, but for now, I've chosen to step away from Unity.

I'll keep this page online but will disable the download functions, so you can see the games as they were. However, they now belong to the history books.

I'm frustrated for having invested so much time in their platform. I feel like a fraud for teaching the platform to my students and encouraging them to use the ecosystem. I fell sad and lost!

I chose to publish this devlog in this game ("15 Light Minutes Away") simply because it had the most audience, but this message applies to all my games. I hope to reconnect with you all in the future!

Hello! I heard about Unity too! I don't know if they will keep with that decision or change it back, as the community's feedback was mostly negative. But I hope they do change. I wonder about the future of many games and developers.

You shouldn't blame yourself for teaching this platform. You couldn't have predicted this outcome. And I know everyone would understand that and still feel grateful for the knowledge.

I hope Godot will become a better solution for you!
